  • What is permanent makeup?
    Permanent make-up is pigmentation inserted into the skin’s dermis layer for the purpose of enhancing one’s own natural beauty to eyes, lips, and brows.
  • Does the procedure hurt?
    Most clients describe it as a tingly sensation and comment that it does not hurt as much as they had anticipated; however, I do numb the skin to minimize pain and discomfort. everyone’s pain tolerance is different. I even had a client fall asleep while I was applying her permanent makeup!
  • Is it really permanent?
    The permanent makeup will last for several years; however, you will need a touch up from time to time to refresh and define the color.
  • Who is a good candidate for permanent makeup?
    Anyone who is generally in good health and at least 18 years of age. Individuals who have visual impairments, unsteady hands, allergies to traditional cosmetics, and active lifestyles benefit greatly.
  • Who should not have permanent makeup?
    Individuals who have autoimmune disorders, have cancer, are pregnant, are nursing, or are undergoing chemotherapy should not have permanent makeup.
  • How long does it take to heal?
    Everyone’s skin responds differently to permanent makeup but it is normal to have redness, swelling, and tenderness of the treated area for a few days after application. You will be given aftercare instructions when you go home that must be adhered to for best results.
  • Is it safe?
    Yes, I follow the strictest OSHA guidelines, sanitation, and sterilization guidelines. I have passed both the First Aid & Safety course and Blood Pathogen course.
